Relaxation Dentistry (Anxiolysis) – The thought of going to the dentist causes great anxiety and fear in many people. WIth one small pill, given in the office, Dr. Campbell is able to relax her patients, and while they are comfortable, correct years of painful and embarrassing dental problems, sometimes in just one appointment. With the help of relaxation dentistry, patients can regain their health and have the fabulous smile they always wanted.

Laser Dentistry – The majority of procedures are performed with the Watelase MD by Biolase. This unique, state of the art dental laser provides patients with dental treatment requiring little to no anesthetic for most procedures. Non-invasive TMJ Therapy – Often times joint problems are due to over closure of the jaws. This condition can lead to chronic head and neck aches. With the use of removable appliances and cold laser therapy, pain and discomfort can be reduced and often times eliminated. A complete dental examination will usually reveal any TMJ related symptoms.

Laser Treatment for Canker Sores and Fever Blisters/Cold Sores – Many patients are afflicted with these painful and often embarrassing mouth sores. The Waterlase MD is used to create a laser “band aid” that reduces discomfort and speeds healing.

Teeth Whitening – We offer the latest in tooth whitening. Our in office procedure will lighten your teeth 4-6 shade in one hour. Utilizing a blue Sapphire light, your teeth can be whitening in one office visit. No more wearing trays for weeks at a time. Digital X-Rays – Digital X-rays allow your x-rays to be viewed in seconds, not minutes. This computer technology reduces the exposure time required to obtain the image, as compared to traditional x-ray film. Radiation exposure is reduced by 90%.

Diagnodent – This device is a diagnostic laser designed to discover small, hidden cavities not yet detectable on x-rays. Your teeth will be able to be restored with minimally invasive techniques.

Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas) – Nitrous oxide is available for those who feel the need to reduce their anxiety level. Studies suggest that about 20% of the people worldwide are afraid of the dentist. Fear is a common emotion. Our team is experienced in helping patients overcome their dental fears and anxieties.

Velscope – White light is used to look for superficial changes in the tissues of the mouth, as part of our oral cancer screening. The Velscope has now given us the advantage of fluorescence to look for tissue changes that are below the surface. This technology gives us the opportunity to detect tissue changes at a much earlier stage. Early detection is key to the treatment and prevention of oral cancer.

Our preventive services are broken down into the following three categories:

Assessment:

• Thorough review of your medical and dental history.
• Examining your gum tissue.
• Examining your biting, chewing, swallowing patterns.
• Oral cancer screening.
• Examining your readiness for cosmetic procedures.

Prevention:

• Cleaning teeth to remove deposits of plaque and calculus/tarter.
• Placing sealants and applying fluoride.

Education:

• Instruction in brushing and flossing techniques.
• Nutritional and Lifestyle Counseling.
• Smoking Cessation Programs.
• Thorough explanation of recommended dental treatment.

Complete Restorative Care

We offer complete restorative care including, but not limited to:

Crowns – Teeth that had root canal treatment or extensive restoration can be repaired and strengthening with a crown that fits over the tooth. A crown will restore a tooth to its normal shape, color, and function. Crowns can also restore broken, cracked, poorly shaped, and severely discolored teeth to provide a more natural appearance.

Bridges – Missing teeth can be replaced by supporting a false tooth attached to one or more crowns. Bridges are fixed permanently in place with special cement.

Implants – Implants are artificial tooth roots, which anchor to surrounding bone. Replacement teeth are then attached to these artificial roots. Implants can replace one tooth, several teeth, or secure dentures.

White (non-mercury) fillings – White composite, porcelain and cast glass inlays and onlays are used to replace silver mercury fillings and decaying areas of the teeth. These fillings restore and strengthen the teeth.

Non-Surgical Gum Treatment – Periodontal disease is a chronic bacterial infection that affects the gums and the bone supporting the teeth. There are many forms of periodontal disease. If left untreated, this disease can lead tooth loss. In severe cases, this disease can exacerbate other organ system problems such as heart disease. In most cases, periodontal disease is reversible with professional treatment and good oral care at home.

Root Canals – A root canal is a procedure that may save an infected or damaged tooth. This procedure relieves the symptoms of a toothache, visible trauma, swelling, and temperature sensitivity.

Tooth Removal – Sometimes a tooth may be so badly broken down that it is not restorable and/or a severe infection may be present in conjunction with a tooth. Under these conditions, it may be recommended to have the tooth removed. In this circumstance, a treatment plan to replace the tooth will be offered and discussed.

Dentures and Partials – These removable prostheses are designed to replace missing teeth and to restore chewing function.
